A seed from a faraway place is dropped into a perfect forest. The tree that grows from the seed is very different to the forest trees. The forest trees reject the strange tree until they discover that the new tree brings gifts that enhance their home. Anna Boucaut has a background in primary school teaching specialising in E.S.L, performing arts, and learning support. Her passion for multiculturalism resulted in the publication of her picture book, The Faraway Seed that has been read on the ABC children’s television program, Playschool. She has been a recipient of the Silver Brumby Award and has written many stage plays for children that have been performed in schools around Queensland.
