The Young Writers’ Award was launched nationally in 2015 by Redgum Book Club and offers young
writers a unique opportunity to become published authors. It provides a platform for young writers to
find their voice through storytelling and encourage a love of reading and writing.
Young authors aged between 9 to 13 years of age are invited to nominate in either the Children’s
Picture Book category or the Children’s Short Story category.
Winners in each of the categories have their stories edited, illustrated and published within Australia by
Redgum Book Club – an incredible opportunity for any young Australian writer.
